Why does my piano go out of tune?

The piano, like any acoustic instrument, goes out of tune. The combination of metal and wood that helps the piano make beautiful music, also renders it unable to stay in tune for a long time.

And some helpful tips to keep your piano in tip top shape.

Put your piano in a good spot. Keeping your piano out of direct sunlight and away from heating/ac vents will reduce temperature fluctuations and help keep the pianos tune longer.
Get your piano tuned twice a year. Regular tuning of your piano is akin to exercising. Timely tunings keep your piano on pitch and preserve each tuning to achieve maximum playing enjoyment. Any repairs and/or maintenance needed can be done before the situation usually arises.
